If you do any work on drainage problems in your yard, make sure you do not direct the water into your neighbor's yard, but to the sidewalk and eventually to the street. However, the sidewalk should not be constantly wet so that it grows stuff and becomes slippery. This is dangerous and a possible liability for you.
