Local SCAM - Parking Lot Con Artists!

Recently, as many as three different suspects were stopped by SAPD in the parking lot of large retail stores in the Loop 410 and Hwy 151 area. (Those are probably Lowes, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot). These guys approach elderly people in the parking lot and try to con them out of their money. Everyone should keep their eyes open in the parking lots when shopping at these stores. If you see people just hanging around, don?’t park by them. If you are approached once you are out of your car, don?’t stop to talk?—just get into the store and notify store personnel to call the police. And, try to keep you eyes open to help other people.
