With the many holidays and celebrations over the next few months, remember to stay vigilant against crime. While many children will be home from school and they can help in that effort, others may just be looking to cause trouble. Don?’t leave your curtains open for all to see what great presents & decorations you might have inside your house. If you leave the area, ask a trusted neighbor to keep an eye on your house, put your mail on hold, & stop any paper delivery.
After the holidays, DON?’T put the boxes from your gifts out for garbage pick-up; that just tells potential crooks what they can get at your house. The best thing to do is break-down any gift- and mailing-boxes, and take them to one of the green & yellow paper recycling bins at McAuliffe Jr High, Sky Harbour Elem, or Hidden Cove Elem.
