- Sat, May 1, Lifeguard Recruitment Fair, 10 AM?—2 PM, Lion?’s Field Adult & Senior Citizen Center, 2809 Broadway. For good swimmers (ages 16 & up). Training will be provided for lifeguards hired to work at the city?’s 21 outdoor pools this summer (Jun 5?—Aug 8). Bring driver?’s license & Social Security card. Info: 207-3113.

- Mass registration for Kid Quest ( SAPAR school-site-based Summer Recreation Program), 10 AM?—2 PM, San Antonio ISD Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta. 40 school sites (to be announced).
