SWCA Donates Books Again!

Sep 24, 2002

In recognition of our schools?’ achievements, in Aug, SWCA members approved donating $50 for books for Hidden Cove Elem for their EXEMPLARY attainment; $25 for Sky Harbour Elem for their RECOGNIZED status; $25 for Indian Creek Elem, in recognition of the superb efforts of Mrs. Heiner, their previous principal who retired last spring.
Following-up on that, Councilman Kike Martin, said he?’d also contribute money from District 4 Discretionary Funds for all schools. He indicated: $150 for Hidden Cove; $150 for Sky Harbour; $75 for Indian Creek; and $75 for McAuliffe. He said he would transfer the funds to SWCA to purchase the books. Because this transfer takes a while, SWCA doesn?’t anticipate presenting all of the books until Jan ?’03.
