Sat, May 3rd, City & SWISD Board Elections

Sat, May 3rd, are the elections for Mayor,City Council, & SWISD School Board. On May 3rd, polls will be open from 7 AM?—7 PM. In the SWCA area, precinct 1039 will vote at Indian Creek Elementary School (for both city and SWISD). Precinct 1061 will vote at Sky Harbour Elementary School for the city election; then voters must go to Indian Creek Elem to vote in the SWISD Board election.
Mayoral Candidates (in ballot order): Shirley Thompson. Ed Garza, & Michael Idrogo.
District 4 Candidates (in ballot order): John Clinton Freeman, David Fernandez, Phil Cortez, Joe Montoya, & Richard Perez. You can learn more about the candidates by picking up a League of Women Voters paper at any public library branch or by checking their website at: ?“www.lwvsa.org?”.
SWISD Board Candidates (in ballot order): Joe Kierstead; Carole Abitz; David Mahaffey; Ida Sudolcan; Toni Bazaldua, & Sylvester Vasquez (I). Six candidates are running for two positions. Voters have the option of voting for one or two candidates. The two people getting the most votes will win; they don?’t need to get a majority.
