Community Input Meetings on the Southside Initiative and How It Might Effect Our Area and Our School District
SWCA is NOT within the area covered by the city?’s Southside Initiative (SSI). (SSI is south of Loop 410, between IH-35 & IH-37, down to the Medina River.) However, as residents of San Antonio and the Southwest Independent School District?—it WILL affect us. One idea is to give that area additional taxing authority and create a board that would manage the area.
Meetings are scheduled to explain the proposal to the public and get public input. Now is the time for you to learn about the proposals, ask your questions, and give your feedback. Don?’t wait until it?’s too late. Two meetings are scheduled in May, both at the Frank M. Tejeda Academy, 12121 S. Loop 410 (between Moursund and Roosevelt).
