- Weds & Thus, Jun 4, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, & 26, Bravo! An Evening of Song & Dance (a summer dance showcase featuring Fandango and Alamotion dance troupes), 8 PM, Arneson River Theater, La Villita. General Admission?—$6; Seniors?—$5; Children (4?—12) - $3; under 3?—FREE. Dance includes Mexican folklorico, Flamenco, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. Info: 207-3134.
- Thu?—Sun, Jun 5?—8, Texas Folklife Festival, Institute of Texan Cultures. Ethnic groups from every corner of Texas representing over 40 countries come together to share delectable cuisine, traditional music and dances, homespun tales, handcrafted keepsakes and much more! Admission prices at the gate are: $10 for adults (age 13 and over); $3 (kids 6?—12). Kids under 3 get in FREE. Tickets are available at advance rates (cheaper for adults than at the gate) at any HEB store. Hours are: Thu, Jun 5, 5?—11PM; Fri, Jun 6, 5?—11 PM; Sat, Jun 7, Noon?—11 PM; and Sun, Jun 8, Noon?—9 PM. Thursday is Senior?’s Night (those 55 and older pay only $5 admission at the gate, not available in advance). Sunday is Kids?’ Day, all children 12 and younger, accompanied by an adult, get in FREE. - Sun, Jun 22, OPEN HOUSE?—Lion?’s Field Adult & Senior Citizens Center, 1?—4 PM, 2809 Broadway. Enjoy refreshments and check out the programs available including arts & crafts, ceramics, clay, oil painting, watercolor, drawing, line dancing, square dancing, hula & folk dancing. Info: 826-9041.
