As of the final input for this newsletter the crime statistics for our area had not been posted on the SAPD website. Remember, when school is out?—there is often an increase in crime. However, we also have more eyes looking and ears listening for problems. Watch out for your neighbors. Copy (& keep) license numbers of unfamiliar vehicles in your area. The crooks may just be casing your area to come back and hit it later. If you are going out of town on vacation, let a trusted neighbor know and ask them to report anything suspicious to the police. Also, you should put your mail on hold and stop any newspaper delivery while you?’re gone. You might even asked a trusted neighbor to put out some garbage for you on garbage pick-up days.
