County Road Hard Surfacing Projects

Work is underway on the hard surfacing of Palm Lane from Hawes to 78th Street. The work is being performed by Maricopa County DOT to reduce dust emissions on county roads that have traffic volumes of at least 250 trips per day. Several streets south of McDowell Road were hard surfaced a few years ago. This is the last such work that is planned for the Desert Uplands to our knowledge.
