 Water & Sewer proposed transfer to County Authority

Restore Act Funds (2/5/15)

Speak now on how to spend billions of Restore Act funds. See http://www.restore.ms/ .  Pascagoula spoke and is getting a $3.8M sidewalk along its beach for recreational purposes.  As of 2/5/15 I didn't see any projects for the BelleFontaine area.  Is anybody doing anything for the residents of the Bellefontaine area?

My thoughts:

1.  Add crape myrtle shaded walking, jogging, bike path between Gulf Park Estates along Biddix Evans Road to High School; 

2.  Improve drainage  at St. Andrews park;

3.  Shade the exercise and play areas in park. 

4.  Add Amphitheater to the park for a place for neighborhood association to meet;

5.  Add a farmer’s market pavilion to the park;

6.  Add a traffic roundabout and banner display at the entrance to St. Andrews.

7.  Jackson County Utility District buy St. Andrews water and sewer  and install a replacement water tower; 

8.  County buy the St. Andrews golf course , the beach on which it fronts, and the surrounding salt water areas;

9.  County reopen the  waterway silted in by Hurricane Camille.

 10.  Build community center like the one in Moss Point on south shore of Graveline Bayou in Ocean Beach Estates area

>> Neighborhood landscaping and cleanup

>> Use of the new St Andrews Park

>>Landscaping to protect against storm winds and flooding

>>Local place to hold large neighborhood meetings

>>Changes to utility costs for replacing the water tower.

>>Adequate water supply and pressure for fire protection and households

>> Finding a buyer for the Golf Course foreclosure
