Steering Committee - District 13

Minutes for April 15 , 2010

Present:  Charles Owen, Al Church, Linda Duncan, Donnie Faulkner, Billy Vincent, Mark Osborn, Bob Davison, Martin Rothman, Murry Harral

Absent:  Vicki Welch, alt. Al Church

Treasurer's Report - note, only one household has not paid dues - Dr. Owen commended for success of dues collections - fence along National Turnpike damaged by driver - paid $1800 to repair fence and his insurance paid $1100 to replace damaged trees.  Marty moved; Bob seconded motion to approve Treasurer's Report; passed.

Minutes for March meeting were also approved.

Old Business

CD worth $5206.51 plus $30,000 CD needs to be placed by April 19.  Murry moved and Mark seconded that a sub-committee meet (Linda, Vicki, Charles) with John Duncan regarding best option for money from CD. Motion passed.

Trees - Mark, Donnie, and Murry will meet with three different landscapers to get recommendations of tree types and quotes for replacing 20 trees along National Turnpike. Report quotes at May meeting.

Street signs - After Thunder, JC Speagle (Best Stamp) will be replacing sign poles.  Bob will lead a committee to evaluate which signs need to be replaced.  All STOP signs will be mounted on the new posts.

MSD - need to be contacted concerning the re-doing of the rocked area along the property next to the inlet pipe running under the road from the front lake into the side lake.

Charles reports that the size of the pipe going in to the southern ditch is much smaller than MSD had origina

Banners - We will need to replace 4 or 5 banners along National Turnpike.  Bob Davison will be in charge of this project.  Banners can be ordered from a shop located in Bluegrass Industrial Park.  Robert will oversee this entire process

Clean-up Day for the lake will be held on the first Saturday in June.
