Architectural Improvements

Things You Should

Dear Homeowner:

Since the first of this year, we have been working hard to establish and organize our Board of Directors. As of February 28, 2000, all the officers are in place. Now that we have our architectural committee in place, all requests for approval will go through the Architectural Committee. The members of the board and our architectural committee leaders know that with the excitement of moving into a “NEW” home and the time it takes to get settled, some of the improvements you have already made were done so without approval. We must have a written descriptions and sketch or picture of improvements made. Those that have already received approval from ProComm "our former management company" for a particular improvement need not ask for approval for that particular improvement from Stonewood.

Improvements will include all landscaping, sidewalks/walkways, storm doors, shutters, drive ways, gutters, exterior painting, etc. Any improvements done to the exterior of your home MUST BE APPROVED before work begins. Improvements that have not been properly approved will be considered in violation of the architectural restrictions and the STONEWOOD H.O.A will take PROPER ACTIONS.

PLEASE NOTE: A PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTOR must perform all structural improvements to your home.
DEFINATION: IF you are going to build a structure that must rely on the house itself to stand, or if you are going to add any additions that become part of the house, (i.e. extra rooms) a professional contractor must perform all constructions. All sheds, storage buildings, decks, and patios, and patio covers must also be done by a professional contractor . Building materials must be of good quality and is subject to approval.
A licensed contractor must also perform any electrical wiring or plumbing improvements. There are no exceptions to this.

If you wish to keep your neighborhood looking beautiful and your property value up, we must follow the “RULES” we agreed to in the Protective Covenant, we all signed.
