Close To Home Family Ideas

This year I clipped out the Star Tribune's annual summer guide and made a list of things to do this summer that are fairly close to home. Summer goes by fast and I figured I better make a list or another summer would slip by.

My List

Here are some of the things on our family list:

1. Lake Harriet/Como Street Car
2. Wabasha Cavern Tour
3. St. Paul Gangster Tour
4. Bike ride around Mpls. lakes
5. Walk/hike/rollerblade/bike the Mendota trail
6. Eat at outdoor restaurant on Nicollet Mall
7. Go to beach at Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior and ride the Minnehaha
8. Rent a pontoon boat in Lake City on Lake Pepin
9. Camp at Taylor's Falls
10. Do the North Shore
11. Bike the Root River Trail in Lanesboro
12. Go to a Drive In movie
13. Tour Murphy's Landing
