Welcome to a new year, one that promises to deliver the best possible for Strawberry Farms residents. In October, a new Civic Association board was elected, comprised of your neighbors who are willing to give their time and talents for the greater good. That is a blessing in itself, but even more gratifying is the appearance of some NEW faces - now that's is encouraging. Residents such as Linda Pierce and Dave Michell have restored our faith in volunteer?’s efforts and now more than ever, we need even more new faces to pop up. There is always a lot to do to keep our neighborhood running as smoothly as possible and we do not ask much - just a few hours a month or a few hours every couple of months. That time will go a long way toward our neighborhood's quality of life. This year the board intends to monitor our neighborhood closely for code violations and code enforcement issues. We hope to stage a Kids' Olympics in the summer as well as provide a second season of our traveling Santa - apparently quite a hit last December. In between there will be egg hunts, garage sales and perhaps a surprise or two. We welcome everyone's input and participation and you can find us the last Thursday of every month at 6:30 at the Easton Worship Center. Thanks for the opportunity to serve your needs and please give me a call (891-8620) if I can be of help.
