Reply on the Association
I love to voluneteer and offerend many of my skills to the Association, only to be repeatedly turned down. It seems that Pres. Tom only wants people for the jobs he or others do not want to do. I quit the Association after attending almost a year's worth of meetings, only to be repeated spoken to in harsh and condescending tone by our leader. This is not just my opinion but the opinion of others that also attended and have told me their thoughts and feelings.
Maybe, instead of threatening those of us who cannot attend the meetings at 6:00PM (I don't get home until 6:30 or 7:00 most nights) and limiting the information available to us (I have been to meetings where they would only tell those in attendance certain info and the others who couldn't attend shouldn't get it because they didn't care), try to invite and welcome people. I oppose limiting information of any type and encourage getting the word out to everyone in the community in as many ways possible.
And by the way........if you want to get information out on the web, update your web pages once in awhile.
