Suggs Park NA

President's Message

Hello Suggs Park Residents!

Well, the big news this week is we finally received a decent rain. As you know we have planted a dozen saplings in Smitty Park and have seen seven larger trees relocated in preparation for new park equipment. We have been watering trees all along but the rainwater is much preferred.

Your block captains should be receiving a newsletter shortly for delivery to your home. In it will be notice that your $10 annual dues are due and that the next meeting will be a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept 12th. We plan to have refreshments at 6:30 to be followed by a guest speaker and then we will vote on some bylaw amendments.

Our recent survey indicated an interest in moving to a quarterly meeting on a Tuesday at 7PM. So, we hope to see a large attendance for this social gathering to make this important decision. I know 45th street will be there en masse.

Todd James will be welcomed as the new Treasurer. Todd has volunteered and been accepted by the executive committee. Our thanks go to Barry Watson for his years of toil as treasurer. He and Monica will be working on other projects for us.

We are hopeful for a large turnout and please bring your checkbook.

Regards,
Mike Truel, President
