There is a reason our neighborhood felt a bit cleanor this summer. A number of neighbors led by Rich Abele scoured the neighborhood twice a month for Graffiti and litter. These evening patrols collected many bags of litter and erased or painted over countless graffiti on traffic, signs and telephone poles. Graffiti tags were noted in a log book before being removed and then were communicated to the Northteast Coalition for incorporation into its Graffiti data base. This data base ran be used to connect taggers to their activity if and when they are caught. If you wish to volunteer this Fall and Winter, contact Rich at: swordfish62@juno.com. If you see graffiti in the neighborhood call Colin James of the neighborhood association at 281-1241 or the Graffiti Removal Program at 249-2856.
