Fareless Square

Fareless Square will be expanded to the Lloyd District, although the exact start-up date has not been finalized. Both Max and buses will be free within an area bounded by NE Multnomah, NE Holladay, Holladay Park and the Steel Bridge. The funding package includes moneys from Tri-Met the Hotel Motel tax, the City's meter revenue from both downtown and the Lloyd District and contributions from the Lloyd Business Improvement District. The boundaries of the extension have been limited to minimize impact on neighborhoods but at the same time serve major visitor attractions and the core commercial area.
