Welcome to oor new web site and our first news letter. Hopefully the first of many.

What is a Home Owners Association?

Basically it is members of the subdivision working together to maintain their community.

With that being said who is the Home Owners Association. The HOA is made up of each and every home or lot owner in the subdivision.

Who runs the HOA? The HOA is run normally by a Board of trusted members in the community . These volunteers are elected by the home owners. The Board then runs the day today operations of the HOA.

What does the Summerfield Home Owners Association Board do for our  subdivision?

A good question. Among other things the HOA is responsible for paying the electric bill for the street lights. Maintaining the grass and landscaping at the entrances and common areas.

The HOA also enforces the covenants and restrictions set forth for the development by the developer, as well as city, county, and state ordinances.

Are there covenants and restrictions for Summerfield Subdivision?

Yes, each home owner should have received a copy of them when they closed on their home. Even if they didn't they are still bound by those restrictions.

Why are there covenants and restrictions?

Covanants and restrictions are set up by the developer to maintain the desired  appearance of a community. Maintaining the appearance of the community is a benefit to each home owner. This helps to maintain the value of the homes in the community.
