Planning Meeting for Annual Neighborhood Block Party on 09/08/01

The final planning for our annual block party officially started with a kickoff meeting on August 20. Potential activities that were discussed included:

?· Music: swing dance lessons late afternoon; a live band from 7-9; a second band depending on donations

?· Food: pot luck dinner and grilled foods; two kegs of beer; some donated food from local restaurants

?· Children Activities: face painting or temporary tattoos; fire truck and police car visit; petting zoo or pony rides; helium balloons; water balloon toss; cake walk

?· Adult Activities: volleyball; open mike; karaoke; swing dance lessons; golf challenge; raffle
