A reminder before you build !!

Please take a moment and read your C C and R?’s if you are thinking about adding to your home, especially Patio Covers.

There is a Design and Review board that you need to submit your plans to BEFORE you start your project, whether it be a Patio Cover or other projects.

If you are adding a Patio Cover, you will also need to get a building permit from the City of Mesa before your work can proceed. That permit and your plans then will be reviewed by the Design Board and you will be notified if your plans have been approved by the board. Again, the CCR?’s explain what you can and cannot do to your homes.

As additional information pertaining to Patio Covers, they MUST be at LEAST 4 feet from any existing structure, including side and rear fences according to the City of Mesa Planning and Zoning Department. If your project does not meet this, it will have to be brought into compliance.
