Towing Policy Changed by HOA Board

Mar 07, 2003

Towing Company Changes

As an additional way to help stop the illegal parking problems that have been plaguing our community, the HOA board has also made another change.

Previously, if a car needed to be towed, a call had to be made to the towing company, the car had to have a sticker applied to it, and then the towing company would come out to tow the car. This process could take up to several hours, leaving the offending cars parking illegally for a long time.

It also put the burden on the HOA board members to be the ?“parking police?”, which was not fair to those members, and also was not always effective.

At the last HOA meeting, the board decided to change this procedure and put that burden back into the hands of the towing company hired to do this job.

What this means is that the towing company now will be making ?“random?” drive-thrus of the community, and if at that time, anyone is parked ON THE STREETS, they will be towed immediately.

The random drive-thrus will be done at any time day or night, and at random days of the week and month. They could be here daily, or they could show up 3 times a week?—we will never know their schedule. The board hopes that this, coupled with the fine changes will eliminate the street parking.
