MINUTES

Board Members Present
Dave Kaubisch, Pat Prince, Tom Wolf, John Rosenthal, Janice Cunningham was out of town.

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:02pm by Dave

Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes
Tom made a motion to approve the April minutes, Passed unanimously.

Financial Review
Tom reviewed the financials.

Manager Report
Kevin gave a manager’s report.

Painting of View Fences
Kevin brought updated prices from IPS to paint the view fences by neighborhood. Tom is going to analyze the numbers to forecast the effect on the financials. It was agreed that the Association paints the oldest neighborhoods first and work on them from there would be the best way to approach this huge project.

Safety Study
Tom gave a presentation of the Pinal County Traffic Study for the intersection of Don Donnelley and Superstition Mountain Drive resulting from him and Janice visiting the area. Pat suggested that they contact the County to rope off the triangle of view as the first step in approaching this issue.

Mountain Brook Drainage Issue
John gave an update of the work and that he met with Levi from Shea Homes. They did a great job restoring the common area and can hardly tell they were there at all.

Superstition Mountain Drive
The BOD reviewed the recent billing from SMP for the maintenance of SMD. It was noted the amount is less than what has been billed in the past years. SMP was to get back in contact with us regarding the discussion of the contract for the maintenance of SMD and never has. Pat, Tom, and Kevin will arrange to meet with SMP to discuss this issue. John will fill in if another member can’t make it so there won’t be a quorum of the BOD.

Entry Improvements
The BOD accepted a petition from the owners of La Mirada #2 to plant more vegetation in the entry. Kevin presented a proposal to Dave from Western innovations he had obtained to re-plant the area. Tom is going to look at the financials factoring in the view fence painting and possible other improvements and propose an amount that could be allocated to entry improvements.


John asked that a draft of the agenda be e-mailed to the BOD about ten days prior to the meeting.
