Obtaining Condo insurance details for your mortgage company

Our Property Manager offers a few simple steps:

We recently asked the Property Manager about obtaining the Cove Condo Master Insurance Policy details as requested by our Mortgage Company.  The Mortgagors frequently want this information updated once a year. We thought that her reply would benefit everyone:

I get this question quite often and it is not easy to answer ...do they want the flood insurance or the property/liability (it is usually just the flood)..and then each building within the complex has a different policy and different dates and policy numbers, so we no longer keep all of that information here.

I have arranged with the 2 companies we are covered by,  that when a Cove Condo owner calls,  give them the building number and unit, and give the fax number of your mortgage company (I usually advise the owner to have a copy faxed to themselves, too.)  The insurance agency will take care of getting the Declaration of Insurance faxed on to your Mortgagor for these Master Policies.
