It's that time of year again...budgets, budgets, budgets. Next month the Board of Directors and ProComm will scratch our heads over how much to allocate for which expenses and set the amount for our annual assessment. Obviously it is very important that we look at all line items in our budget and analyze each for necessity (optional vs. required expenditure), reasonableness (appropriate amount for expenditure), and accuracy (was it budgeted correctly last year). We also must plan for future projects and not allow a shortsighted approach harm the future of our association. Setting aside enough cash to make major repairs and/or replacements is critical. Of course, we do not want to increase our association fees. But we also do not want the Board to be forced to impose a ?“Special Assessment?” for the purpose of reimbursing the Association for unforeseen events. Copies of the 2002 budget, annual general meeting, and election information will be sent out in the January newsletter. Happy Holidays,
Mark and Dusty
