***Get Involved in the Neighborhood***

As the number of homes increases, so do the opportunities to volunteer and help make Thousand Oaks a better neighborhood.

We are looking for a number of volunteers for the 2003 calendar year.

Social Committee

The Social Committee is looking for six volunteers to serve on the 2003 Committee. Participants develop the activity plan and budget, coordinate events, manage the Web site and publish the newsletter. Participants also serve as the liaison with the Home Owners Association. We especially need volunteers from newer sections as well as male participants. To volunteer for the committee, please contact Kristen Whisnant at 880-9955 or Chris Mauzey at 891-9501.

Block Captains

This is a new endeavor so volunteers are needed for the entire neighborhood. Block captains hand out flyers for events and activities for around 20 homes. They are also encouraged to stay in touch with residents in their block and communicate ideas, feedback on activities or comments about the neighborhood to the Social Committee. If you are interested in being a block captain, please contact Kristen Whisnant at 880-9955.

Pool Committee

This newly formed committee is in search of five volunteers to help oversee the Pool for the 2003 year. Committee work will begin in January. To volunteer for the committee, please contact Chris Mauzey at 891-9501.

***2003 Activities***

We?’re developing our calendar of events for next year. If you have ideas for activities and events, please contact Ann Dieleman at 891-9789 or adieleman@kc.rr.com.

***2003 Directory***

We?’re striving to get everyone included in the upcoming directory so please complete and return the Directory Form by November 1. Even if your information was included in the directory last year or you?’ve recently communicated your information, please complete and return this form. Only those residents returning this form will be included in the 2003 Directory. Please return completed forms to Cami Pisoni at 6425 NW Nevada, Kristin Whisnant at 14130 NW 64th Place or Ann Dieleman at 6300 N. Forest Drive.
