Board of Directors Meeting
August 14, 2000 - 6:00 p.m.

Present: 3 board members and property manager
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:09 by the President.
MINUTES
The Minutes from the June 12, 2000 Board of Directors Meeting were reviewed.
Board Member made a motion to accept the minutes, another Board Member seconded the motion and minutes were approved as presented.
TREASURERS REPORT
The Treasurer gave the financial report. It was approved after clarification on one issue.
OLD BUSINESS
1 . A Board Member said the Farmland Issue where the Association had to clean up after flooding is in dispute and the Association is pursuing legal action.
2. The Association is getting bids for lighting for the playground and the monument sign area. Property Manager is also checking into solar power lights for this project.
3. Landscaping will be discussed during the Annul Meeting which will be held after the Board Meeting. The landscaper will address the membership.
NEW BUSINESS
2 architectural requests were submitted and approved.
OPEN DISCUSSION
1. A homeowner said there are four positions open for election, could the Board be expanded to a larger member board. The Property Manager responded that the best working board is a five member board. The homeowner asked if there could be alternate members, after discussion, it was decided that the names of candidates who were not elected will be kept on file for future consideration if a vacancy should occur. A homeowner asked if they had to vote for four positions or could vote only for members they wished to elect and was told they could vote for one to four, however the owners wished to vote.
2. A homeowner said there is a sprinkler head on the SW corner of the basketball court that is broken.
3. The President informed the residents that there will be a "5th Congress of Neighborhoods" gathering on September 23, 2000. Then, on October 21, 2000 a meeting of "Greater Arizona in Neighborhoods (GAIN). He recommended homeowners attend these meetings. The residents were asked to pick up flyers with interesting information for Tone residents.
ADJOURNMENT
The President told homeowners the Board has streamlined the meeting in order to prepare for the Annual Meeting. There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
