Review of Minutes from Last Meeting
Accepted July Minutes.

Financial Report: Bill Kessler (Treasurer) not presented, but he had sent email stating that we have $2,654.16 in the TTNA account. Dennis collected $45.00 in card sales and we collected $10.00 in dues.

Ongoing Business
?• TTNA Cards & Tote Bags: Dennis presented tote bags and styles. The totes presented were approximately $5.00 each when purchasing 90-100. Dennis explored the suggestions for a recyclable material as well. Available colors of totes are red, yellow and blue. Dennis presented a canvas tote with longer handles $5.75 each (our cost). We would sell the totes for $10.00 each at the art fair. We are looking at about a $600.00 cost with the potential to make $600.00. We are looking to sell these bags at St. James as well as the Holiday House Tour. Dennis will enter all donated sample bags in a drawing at the TTNA Holiday Party. TTNA members voted and accepted to purchase 100 canvas bags with the blue colors and logo on one side. We will print and place information about TTNA in each bag sold.
?• Brightside Grant: Irene reported that TTNA did not receive the grant from Brightside.
?• St. James Festival- We discussed options for other money making activities in the Toonerville booth. The discussion included face painting for children, bake sale items and childcare. Concerns were raised concerning liability with caring for children. Sign-up to volunteer in the booth will occur at the next meeting.
?• Two-way Streets- Nothing reported.
?• ZALU: Nothing reported.
?• OLN: Nothing reported.
?• Crime and Safety: We discussed the recent shootings on Floyd & Ormsby and Kentucky & 1ST and the fact that they are connected. We also discussed drug and prostitution occurring in front of 1251 S Brook (the Tudor Style Apartments aka Smurf Village). [This activity has been reported to Lt. Manning, LMPD via Helga Ulrich.] Kim Inge talked about a police officer littering in front of her and she reported it to Phil who reported it to Helga Ulrich, who, in turn, reported it to the police. As a side note, Helga Ulrich (637-6647 or email ?– hhubmw@cs.com) is the chairperson of the Old Louisville Crime and Safety Committee. If you report wrongdoing on the part of LMPD or any criminal activity to 574-7111 (local district dispatch) and do not get any response or a slow response or the activity continues, call or email Helga. She has a rapport with the division and acts as an advocate for the public.

New Business
?• Aaron passed out a tentative schedule for the next meetings recommending that we have every other meeting hosted at a TTNA member?’s house.
?• Irene suggested that we not have meetings in the summer; take a break.
?• Shakespeare in Central Park has started.
?• Music Festival last week in August is not open to having TTNA as vendors at their function. TTNA members should still support music festivals.

Meeting adjourned at 7:31 pm.
