Turf Valley Overlook Community Association

Where does the dues money go?

Dec 13, 2001

Since its revival in June 2001, the TVO-Community Association has been at work for you, ensuring that the needs of our neighborhood are addressed, at the community and county levels. During the past quarter, a new sign and plantings have been installed at our Pebble Beach entrance and we've ensured that the common areas are regularly maintained. In addition, we are building relationships with the police and county representatvies to ensure Turf Valley Overlook Association's nees are heard. Our October general meeting featured a special appearance by the Howard Conty Police Department's Commander of the Northern Troop, Captain Howard Ferguson. he promised to put Turf Valley Overlook on the department's list of communities receiving special enforcement efforts.

During the general meeting, there were some wonderful ideas generated which included a re-landscaped entryway with lighting, a neighborhood cleanup day (with dumpsters), a Christmas Eve luminary display and several other special events. In addition, we need to build our financial reserves so we are prepared to address some of the problems that arise as our neighborhood gets older (oak trees!). A strong association can respond to problems before they diminish our home values and also provide programs that will keep our community a wonderful place to live.

OUr Fall dues drive (2002) is our only fundraising campaign. Wtih everyone's financil support we can pursue improvement projects. We are asking all our Turf Valley Overlook neighbors to please send their 2002 dues to the association. Everyone benefits by improving the entryway, maintaining the common grounds, protecting our community's liability and enjoying the numerous specail events throughout the year. Therefore, if you haven't already done so, please fill out the coupon below and submit your $75 dues for 2002 by Dec. 31, 2001.
