Businesses along Beach Dr., Central Ave. & 1st Ave, N. & S. will light up their store front windows this holiday season with unique window displays designed by local students, artists & designers. Nov. 24 - Sunset '07. Vinoy Park , Bayshore Dr. and 7th Ave. N.E. Dec. 1 - WaMu & the St. Petersburg Lion's Club present the Santa Parade. Parade route runs along Central Ave. to the waterfront, north on Bayshore Drive to 5th Ave. N. 10 a.m. An 80-year tradition to kick off the holiday season. The joyous sounds of marching bands, colorful displays, floats, clubs, organizations precede the arrival of Santa Claus! Free. 727-525-5950.

Dec. 1 - Snowfest. North Straub Park, 11 a.m to 3 p.m. Enjoy winter-time family activities after the Santa Parade. Toboggan on real snow, skate on a simulated ice rink, petting zoo, make and take projects, climbing wall, Kiddy-Land, food and lot of family fun. Dec. 1 to 23 - Santa's In The Park. North Straub Park, Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. 6 to 9 p.m. Santa flies in from the North Pole to to warm up in sunny St. Petersburg greeting holiday visitors. Free. 727-893-7441.

Dec. 21 & 22 - The Moscow Ballet presents The Great Russian Nutcracker. Progress Energy Center for the Arts at Mahaffey Theater, 400 1st St. S.
