Reality T.V. Hits Memphis

?“Reality T.V.?” seems to be everywhere lately and Memphis is no exception.
Last Month, Fox 13 News, in cooperation with the Memphis Police Department, aired ?“Memphis Cops?”, their own version of the hit show ?“Cops?”, during the Saturday evening newscast. Residents were able to catch a glimpse of what the officers of the Memphis Police Department encounter on a daily basis while doing their job. Officers from precincts throughout Memphis, including our own Central Precinct, were filmed responding to calls such as traffic stops, domestic violence and gang trouble.
This isn?’t the first time that Fox 13 News has ventured into reality television. They also have a regular feature, ?“Mid-South?’s Most Wanted?” which airs during Wednesday night?’s newscast and profiles the week?’s wanted fugitives.
