Over half of UP residents are renters (!) as our 12 zoning classifications include many blocks for large apartments. UP property zoned
R-1 and R-2 holds primarily single-family homes. UPCC supported Quick Wins 2 (QW2) zoning which City Council approved in January. This bill, developed
over a year in open meetings with a group of architects, builders and homeowners, allows large homes to be built but with a bit more open space, especially
in the backyard area. Its repeal is being sought, belatedly. Be assured UPCC joins the Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation (INC, Denver's Registered
Neighborhood Organizations) in working to retain QW2.
