Robin Voris is coordinating the CERT course for our community. Classes are held on seven consecutive Monday nights in the Staff Cafeteria at Venice High School, beginning at 6:30 pm. (The Venice Hi campus is large, so allow a few minutes for locating the right building. Parking is close to the building. Enter from Walgrove Ave. and drive straight east. The last building you pass on your left should be the building containing the Staff Cafeteria.)
The course consists of seven sessions, each lasting 2 1/2 hours. If you miss a session, you can make it up by visiting a CERT training course running in another neighborhood. This means that you can join up at any time. Bring your friends and neighbors!
I have met a number of people who have graduated from this course. Everyone praised it and many want to take it a second time!
The course is free and open to all interested persons. Ven-Mar Neighborhood Association is pleased to bring this opportunity to everyone on the Westside.
Please sign up with Robin. Her e-mail address is fayvor2003@yahoo.com . You can also sign up when you get there.
