New Gateway comes to Villa Park

At last we have seen the installation of the new gateway at 8th and Grove St. The project is part of the improvements that were made on the 8th avenue/6th and Knox Ct. roadway. The project improvements trigger 1% be spent on art.


The Mayor?’s Office on Culture and Art oversaw the project and pulled together artists and residents to review proposed art pieces. This piece was selected from artist Gary Sweeney. We hope to have a dedication planned soon.
