WEST NILE VIRUS WARNING - RIGHT HERE IN THE VILLAGE

One of our fellow neighbors has contacted the West Nile Virus, is currently ill, and has been hospitalized. The West Nile Virus is kicking into full gear. This is the season to start using repellent and eliminating mosquito breeding sites in order to protect yourself, your family and your community from West Nile Virus. Be sure to use repellent that has DEET in it.
If you mild health symptoms that you might be from West Nile Virus, you should get plenty of rest, drink fluids, and avoid alcohol. If your symptoms persist and seem like thy are getting more severs, call your doctor. If you have a high fever, neck stiffness, disorientation, tremors, muscle weakness or convulsions you should seek immediate medical attention.
Prevention key to fight West Nile Virus spread
1. Eliminate standing water, which allows mosquitoes to breed. Check for conditions outside the home that may provide potential for mosquito breeding, such as poorly maintained swimming pools, cans, bottles, jars, buckets, old tires, drums, and other containers with water,
2. Change water in flower vases, birdbaths, planters and animal watering pans at least twice a week.
