MAYOR CHARGED WITH MALFEASANCE, MISFEASANCE AND NONFEASANCE

mayor Raylene Graves used the Village Cell Phone for personal use and incurred over $400.00 in personal phone calls. When asked on many occasions when she intended to pay back the village as she promised, she has never said when she would do so.

Now it is time for mayor Graves to answer in court. This is not a small claims court case. The Mayor has been charged with malfeasance, misfeasance, and nonfeasance in Probate Court.

This not a small case and has the potential to cost the Village up to $35,000 in pursuing this case. You should take an interest in what is going to happen to this Village and the potential of losing your Village. You very much need to be interested in this case and we suggest that you follow up with your elected officials to find out the status of this case.

An Emergency Council Meeting has been called to have the first reading of an Ordinance to provide for the appropriation of money to provide for legal counsel for the Mayor. Meetings were held February 19th, 2003 at 6:30PM and Saturday February 22nd, 2003 at 2:00PM.
