Another Seat On Council Available

With the recent resignation of Councilwoman Judy O'Brien the Council is seeking applications from residents that would be interested in filling the unexpired term of Ms. O'Brien's seat on Council.

The term of office expires December 31, 2005. Council is asking residents to submit a written statement to the Village Council for consideration for the seat.

The only qualifications for a resident to be considered for the seat is that they must be a registered voter and have lived in the Village for one year prior to being elected.

The Village Council will be meeting in regular session on Monday October 4th at 7pm to consider Ms. O'Brien's resignation and at that time will be setting a date to vote on a replacement to fill the unexpired term of the seat vacated by Ms. O'Brien.

Those submitting written statements will be given an opportunity to address the Council before a vote is taken at the special meeting.
