Angela Jones Recognized By Council For Her Volunteer Work

At the May 3rd Council Meeting the Village Council approved a Resolution recognizing the volunteer work of resident Angela Jones for her work with the reading with Rover Program with the Central Ohio Good Shepherds of Therapy Dogs International.

Councilman Parrish sponsored the Resolution and was pleased to present it to Ms. Jones at the May 3rd meeting who was unaware that the resolution was being brought before Council that evening.

Below is the text of the Resolution.

VILLAGE OF VALLEYVIEW

Resolution 2004-18

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE VOLUNTEER WORK OF ANGELA JONES

WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to recognize the volunteer work and contributions to the community that an individual has provided to not just our Village but the greater community as a whole; and

WHEREAS, when an individual devotes their time and life to helping make their community a better place and improve the lives of others; and

WHEREAS, the contributions provided by volunteers makes a difference not just in the Village of Valleyview but in the community and lives of everyone that is touched through the work of the volunteers; therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF VALLEYVIEW, that:

Section 1. The Council of the Village of Valleyview recognizes the volunteer work of Angela Jones, founder of Central Ohio Good Shepherds - Therapy Dogs International, Inc. Chapter No. 157.

Section 2. That through the success of programs such as Reading With Rover and Visitations to local Hospitals and Retirement Homes it improves the lives of those that participate in the program with the members of the Central Ohio Good Shepherds.

Section 3. Ms. Jones?’ dedication and sacrifice exemplifies the type of individual that calls Valleyview their home and is a wonderful representative of the residents of the Village of Valleyview.

Section 4. The Council hopes that the example set by volunteers such as Ms. Jones will provide a shining example of what is good in this community and will inspire others to volunteer their time and skills.

Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval at the earliest date provided by law.
