Council Seeking Applicants To Fill Vacancy On Village Council

With the recent resignation of Councilwoman Irene White the Council is seeking applicants from residents that would be interested in filling the unexpired term of Ms. White's seat on Council.

The term of office expires on December 31st, 2005. Council has given residents until Monday June 14th 5pm to submit a written statement to the Village Council for consideration for the seat.

The only qualifications for a resident to be considered for the seat is that they must be a registered voter and have lived in the Village for one year prior to being elected.

The Village Council will be meeting in special session on Thursday June 17th at 7pm to vote to fill the unexpired term of the seat vacated by Ms. White. Those submitting written statements will be given an opportunity to address the Council before a vote is taken.
