Village Of Valleyview

New Adoption for Trash Removal Accepted

Jul 02, 2003

During the special meeting of the trash removal contract, Councilman Graves?’ father raised his hand to say he would rather have his trash paid for by the Village than have police coverage. (Thank you Mr. Graves).

During the same meeting, Councilman Graves was trying to justify his idea about removing yard waste pick-up from the contract. ?“The whole state of California gave up recycling?” he said. Both the Waste Management and Rumpke representatives corrected Councilman Graves that California has not stopped recycling. Councilman Graves responded that ?“some?” had stopped recycling; he didn?’t know which. The contract was passed with Councilman Graves?’ idea intact.

The vote was: Bob Graves=yes, Sue Huber=yes, Irene White=yes, Steve Williams=yes, Paul Parrish=no, Judy O?’Brian=yes.
