Legislative Action

Resolution 2005-05 received a second reading
A Resolution to provide for a salary increase for Linda Stoner, Fiscal Officer for the Village of Valleyview.

Resolution 2004-47 received a second reading
A Resolution to setup funds with STAROhio for investment purposes of Mayor's Court and Computer Fund Deposits.

Resolution 2005-06 recieved a first reading
A Resolution to authorize the Council of Valleyview to become a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award.

Resolution 2005-07 received a first reading, 2nd and 3rd readings were waived by the Council 6-0 and passed by Council by a 6-0 vote
A Resolution to amend Resolution No. 2005-03 rules for conduct of Village Business and legislative action.

Resolution 2005-08 received a first reading, 2nd and 3rd readings were waived by the Council 6-0 and passed by Council by a 6-0 vote
A Resolution to adopt the Solid Waste Management Plan for the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio.

Resolution 2005-09 received a first reading, 2nd and 3rd readings were waived by the Council 6-0 and passed by Council by a 6-0 vote
A Resolution to recognize the 75th Anniversary of Cub Scouting

Resolution 2005-10 received a first reading, 2nd and 3rd readings were waived by the Council 6-0 and passed by Council by a 6-0 vote
A Resolution to confirm the hiring of Amanda Moeller as Court Records Clerk for the Village of Valleyview and to declare and emergency.


The current records clerk, Ms. Ryan, has taken a position with a company that offers full time employment and benefits. We wish her well and thank her for the work she has performed for the Village. Because of Ms. Ryan moving on this necessitated having to hire a new Court Records Clerk. Ms. Moeller was inviewed by the Village Council during an executive session prior to the vote on the resolution to confirm her hiring. Ms. Moeller will be working with Ms. Ryan during a transition period and trained by Ms. Ryan.

See the graphic with this article for the full balances. Of the total $195,308.87 for all of the funds, $52,428.60 is in investment accounts with STAROhio so that the Village may begin earning interest on its money.

A Committee Meeting for Property and Planning was set for Friday February 11th at 6pm at the Village Hall. They will be discussing plans for the Easter Egg Hunt and other issues.

A Committee Meeting for Streets and Public Safety was set for Tuesday February 15th at 630pm at the Village Hall. There will be discussion concerning the salary ordinances for the Police Officers and Chief.

The Mayor related information concerning guardrail repairs that will be done in the Village. The County will be seeing to the repairs and also inspecting the other guardrails in the Village to make sure that they are in good shape and meet requirements.
