It is hard to believe summer is almost over!! It was nice to see so many of you enjoying our pool this summer. After Labor Day the pool will ONLY be open on the weekends thru September 30th.
We thank everyone that attended our 4th of July Celebration and for sharing such wonderful foods.
National Night Out was a big success and many of you took advantage of Operation Identification
By having your homes and valuables taped for your records. If anyone is still interested in having a tape made please call Laura McLemore, chair of Security & Neighborhood Watch and she will be happy to schedule a taping with you. You should also direct any security concerns in the neighborhood to her.
We give a warm Village WELCOME to our new neighbor Beverly S. Timberman at 1641 Gosnold Bluff Cove. We sincerely hope that you all will enjoy living in our community.
Joe & Helen Sciara want to express their sincere appreciation to the Village Homeowners Association and to all of you, our neighbors and friends, for your prayers and expressions of sympathy following the recent loss of Joe?s daughter, Lisa. We Thank You all for the Memorial sent from the Village. Everyone?s thoughtfulness and concern has meant so much during this very difficult time.
Our next event is the Labor Day celebration on September 2nd. Some upcoming events to look for are 1st Annual Village Chili Cook-Off - October 26th, Village Breakfast - November 16th, Holiday Party - Dec. 14th, and a Wine Tasting - Jan. or Feb. If you or a neighbor you know has any special talents they would like to share such as singing, playing instruments, magic tricks etc. Please contact the Hospitality Committee we would love has you perform at one of the events.
The town of Collierville will be holding a ?Hand Over Heart? September 11 Memorial Event on September 8th at 2 p.m. on the Town Square. Rev. Jimmy Latimer, pastor of Central Church and FBI Chaplain will be the keynote speaker. Local guitarist and singer Gerry Finney will be performing his ?Hero in Blue? song. There will also be a local church choir performance; readings from student essays and a ?timeline? recap of the events on 9/11/01. Collierville policemen and firemen will also be honored. Last year over 3,000 people attended the ?Hand over Heart? ceremony. This year?s event will include a public art display where residents can place flowers, photos, messages and other pieces of memorial under the gazebo in honor of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks. (Items should be placed there the morning of Sept. 8th)
The town will also hold a brief prayer service at noon on Wednesday, September 11 at the Town Square. Check your papers for other services around town, there will be several.

Remember the SPEED LIMIT in our community is 15mph with NO Exceptions!!! Please adhere to this speed limit, and tell visitors as well. There are still cars racing thru our streets!!
Please be a RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET!! There have been several complaints to the committee that DOGS are running loose and using neighbors yards as their ?bathrooms?. If you see someone whether they reside here or not please remind them they are required to pick up after their pets!!!!! This is not only in our Covenants & Rules it is a City Ordinance.
Please DO NOT USE THE VISITOR PARKING PADS FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL PARKING SPACE. This does not give our visitors a place to park.
Please DO NOT park trucks or SUV?s in your driveway overnight. Vehicles are prohibited from parking on the streets overnight as well.
The ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE MUST APPROVE any OUTSIDE Improvements or Changes. This includes flowerbed borders, storm doors, satellite dishes etc. Simply contact the Architectural Committee and they will be happy to help you obtain approval. It is not a difficult process!!! If you need a copy of the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions please contact a Committee or Board member. These are also located in your White Binder.

The Landscape Committee has been working hard obtaining estimates and exploring various solutions to fix the problems with the back lake. There have already been some treatments, which have shown some improvement. Rest assured they will continue efforts until the Lake is fixed!! Thank you all for your patience.
