SECURITY SCREEN DOOR UPDATE
Measurements and specifications are complete; the contract should be awarded by mid December. Work is expected to begin by mid January. Possible updates will be given at the November 29th meeting.

SURVEYING CREW IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The City of Tucson has contracted with Rhoads Land Surveying to survey elevations on properties in our neighborhood to see if homes can be taken out of the floodplain. They will be recording elevations at numerous locations such as curbs, grade elevations next to residential slabs and slab elevations. This work will probably be going on until some time in January. I request that you let them go about their work unhindered so that they may get their work done expeditiously. If you have any questions direct them to me and if I don?’t know the answer I will find out. This way we can help minimize any delays in the process. We may have more information at the Nov. 29 meeting. Barbara Rountree is acting as our liaison with the City on the flood plain issue. Thanks, Richard SS

WEB PAGE ANNOUNCEMENT
We now have a website for Vista del Monte. Future plans are for the newsletter to be posted there and neighbors with computers and Internet access could access it there, saving time and money for us! If you are able to receive your newsletter this way, please call your street rep.

There is also a section on the website for ongoing discussions about issues in the neighborhood. This could be a way for those who can?’t come to meetings to stay in touch with what?’s happening in the neighborhood. Check it out @ www.neighborhoodlink.com/tucson/vdelmonte.

BULLETIN BOARD AT McCORMICK PARK
John Jensen and Richard are investigating weatherizing the bulletin board so that rain and sprinkler water will be kept out and notices and artwork displayed will not be affected. Check the board for up-to-date information!

NEIGHBORHOOD HISTORY PROJECT
Joan Doran is heading up a committee to compile the history of our neighborhood. This is an exciting project! Anyone interested in assisting Joan and/or providing information, copies of photographs, slides, movies or stories, contact Joan @ 327-0262.
