5.1. Annual Wine & Cheese Party- will be held on Friday, June 15th at Hartley House from 6pm to 9pm. Please bring a neighbor with you as the purpose of this event is to introduce people to the block association.
?• Voted for appropriation of $400 to Joe Diamond for entertainment and $200 for food expenses.
5.2. Alexandra Palmer Memorial Garden Sign- Funding has been received from Mary Clark ($100) and St. Luke?’s Lutheran Church ($400) for a proper sign to mark the location of the Alexandra Palmer Memorial Garden. We need someone to research our options for buying such a sign.
5.3. Mural Re-painting at the Matthews Palmer Playground- Hans researched options. A volunteer is needed to continue this research with collaboration from Watty Strouss- who met with the Parks Department last month. The latest is with Lokei Kaimana, Program Associate, Publicolor
5.4. Leveling of Tree Grates- report of progress (David Korman)
5.5. Ninth Avenue International Food Festival- Saturday & Sunday, May 19th & 20th, 2007, 11 am - 7 pm, 37th to 57th Streets- the Block Association sold baked goods donated from restaurants within the jurisdiction of the Block Association and made $978.
6. New Business
6.1. Former Resident?’s Book Aspirations- Hank has the first draft of his hopefully first book "Hell's Kitchen Prodigy". It's an autobiography and starts with my life as a youngster in Hell's Kitchen. Do we know anyone in the West 46th. Street Association involved in publishing who would care to look it over and offer comments or perhaps even be my agent if they believe it is a marketable product? Contact hankmika@comcast.net.
