7. Unfinished Business- Darrick shared a copy of our letter addressing idling buses by the Village at 46th & Tenth with Shep.
8. New Business
8.1. Darrick proposed dates for the wine and cheese party: Thursday, September 16th. Those present suggested we try another date because next Thursday falls on Rosh Hoshannah.
8.2. We discussed ways in which we could increase the community?’s involvement in the Block Association. Shep offered to facilitate a discussion during the next meeting. Suggestions included:
8.2.1. Being specific about the agenda in advance of the meeting;
8.2.2. Most advance notice of the meetings;
8.2.3. Visiting other Block Associations to see what they are doing and inquiring about their attendance;
8.2.4. Inviting political officials to speak;
8.2.5. Inviting restaurants to speak;
8.2.6. Offering a tour of the neighborhood using information from the AIA Guide to New York City, by NORVAL WHITE, ELLIOT WILLENSKY; Three Rivers Press; 4th edition (June 2000).
