NEW: walnuthill.org & Business Directory

On May 17th, we acquired walnuthill.org as a virtual domain for our homepage. It will still be kept at http://members.aol.com/comfyrock but now, instead of having that cumbersome address to remember you can simply go to walnuthill.org (or WalnutHill.org - makes no difference, you can even skip the "www.") and you will get the entrance page. This will make the website much easier to promote.

On May 18th, we added a Business Directory for the combined Walnut Hill and Washington Park Neighborhoods (= the L.A.N.D. Service Area). You will find it on the left menu sidebar of any Walnut Hill webpage.

We appreciate information on any additions, deletions, and corrections to this Directory so that it can be as up to date and helpful as possible. You can send information for the directory to < businesses@walnuthill.org >

There are many "holes" in this Directory - Goods & Services that are NOT for sale in our Neighborhoods. We hope that this Directory will serve the further purpose of helping would-be entrepreneurs to "fill" some of those "holes."

On the "dot org" - both walnuthill.com and walnuthill.net were previously taken for other websites outside the Milwaukee area. But .org which is supposed to signify a non-profit organization, is quite appropriate, because we intend to formalize the neighborhood organization as a Wisconsin 501.c3 in the near future.
