Our latest meeting was held this past Thursday evening at the Warr Acres Community Center. It is a great venue with plenty of room for over a hundred people to meet. Attendance was down a bit- only 22 this time- but we proceeded with election of officers. James England was elected President, Erik Love was elected Vice President, Christina Brown was elected Secretary, and Virginia Grider was elected Treasurer.
Our First Block Party is this Saturday!
4-7pm at Baker-Kiwanis Park
right behind Warr Acres City Hall
BRING YOUR OWN GOODIES!
There are small grills at the park and some people have volunteered to bring their own, so:
Bring your own hamburgers or hot dogs for the grill
buns, fixins, chips, drinks, plates, etc-bring everything you?’d need to feed whom you are bringing
bring some charcoal to throw on the grill!
Bring your lawn chairs and a folding table if you have one-there are some picnic tables, and some people are bringing their folding tables
MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS!
Bring your favorite board game, ball, frisbee, etc if you want to play!
We?’ll have a nametag table so we can learn each others?’ names
No alcohol is permitted in the park by city ordinance
