Recycled Water Project Update

Joe Sloan with Denver Water Community Relations (303/628-6320) was available at our winter meeting on February 3rd to answer questions about Denver Water?’s Recycled Water Project. Since that meeting, we contacted the contractor, Tierdael, for a project update. Construction is expected to end in February. Concerning repaving, David Huntzinger of the City Engineer's Office reports negotiations are nearing completion with Tierdael. If the agreement goes through, a curb-to-curb rototill and two inch overlay is planned for all of Gilpin and Race Streets beginning in late April to mid-May, depending on the weather. Virginia Avenue will receive partial repaving.
