VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GREENING OF STEELE ELEMENTARY

Get your shovels, rakes, muscles, and community spirit ready!! Thanks to a $20,000 grant from the City of Denver, the Greening of Steele Project (Phase 2) is ready to begin implementing changes to the Alameda side of the building. Volunteers are needed to help with fine grading, building walls and pathways, and preparing the infrastructure for a beautiful community park which will include sculpture, seating, trees, lawn, and a bee and butterfly habitat garden. Please come help on one of our volunteer work days, Saturday and Sunday, October 23-24. In the event of foul weather, we will work on November 6-7.
